Learn, Play and Grow Together
Orientation
At Ms Honey Bear’s Preschool it is our goal to provide a fun and safe environment for learning and growing. It is my goal to help each child to feel successful and prepare them to enter into Kindergarten with a excitement for learning.
Your preschool child will learn:
- Right from wrong
- Letter recognition and sounds
- Colors, shapes, numbers, & counting
- Cutting and drawing
- Pre writting and letter tracing
- Life skills and fine motor skills
- Love of nature
- Following directions through creative crafts and activities
- Reading LOTS to your child!!
Tuition and Registration
A $100 non refundable registration and supply fee is due at the time of registration. Schedule a tour today to meet your teachers and see your child’s classroom.
My morning class is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00-11:30 for ages 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
Your monthly tuition of $125 is due on or before the first preschool day of each month. For your convenience there are 2 ways to pay your child’s tuition.
- You can place your tuition in the Tuition Box provided inside the classroom on teachers desk.
- You can pay using Venmo to @mshoneybearspreschool
School starts the first week in September and will end in May. We will take the necessary holidays off in conjunction with the Alpine School District.
Monthly Calendar and Newsletter
At the beginning of each month your child will bring home a monthly calendar and newsletter. It will help keep you and your child informed about upcoming subjects, events, class parties, snack helpers, birthday’s and field trips.
Snack Time
The children love to help with snack time. A snack time schedule of each month will be sent home with your child in the preschool calendar. I will also have a copy of the calendar on the preschool door for quick reference and convenience for the parents. When their time comes to provide snack time a snack bucket will come home with your child. Please fill enough snacks for 12 children and send it back for next class time.
SUGGESTIONS: Cheese and crackers, pretzels, fruit snacks, popcorn, marshmallows, cookies, donuts, fruit and vegetables etc… (please no brownies, muffins, or cupcakes with bright colored frosting…) (They are tooo messy!!)
- Please no candy for snack time, candy can be brought for special occasions, like parties and holiday’s.
Birthday’s
We will be celebrating Birthdays in our class. It is a great opportunity for your child to be spotlighted and celebrated on their special day. For part of the celebration I ask that they bring back their spotlight form and their Birthday poster spotlighting him/her (you may include pictures, coloring, markers, stickers etc…) Each child is invited to bring a “special birthday treat” to celebrate his/her special day.
Class Mascot
In our Preschool class we have a class mascot (Coco and Pepper). Each day in class a child will have the privilege to take Coco/Pepper home. They will also bring home a journal to record the fun things they do with their take home friend (Coco/Pepper) They may include a picture of their fun events and activities with Coco/Pepper. Whether you go to a park, grocery store or just reading a book at home you can take a picture and write about their fun activities with their friend. Coco and Pepper needs to be returned by our next class time.
Backpacks
Please send your child each day with a backpack or bag for them to be able to take home items worked on during preschool.
Field trips
During the school year there will be fun and exciting field trips. For the safety of the children, I have designed a Preschool T-Shirt that needs to be worn on ALL field trips. The cost of the T-Shirt will be between $10 to $11.
As we participate in special activities or field trips I will need 1-2 parents to help drive and assist as a parent helper. I will notify you of these activities/field trips on the monthly newsletters and calendars.
Show and Tell
When it is your child’s turn, I will send home the Show & Tell bag with your child. Please help your child find something that will fit in the bag. There will be a piece of paper in the bag that says “Five Clues about my Show & Tell” please help your child write down clues about their show and tell. In class we will read the clues to the class and the class will try to guess what your child has brought for Show and Tell. Please do not allow your child to bring toys from home unless it its their turn for Show & Tell, it is a distraction for the preschool kids. Thanks!
Scholastic Book Orders
As a teacher I have a great opportunity to provide Scholastic Book Orders for your child. It is important to read to your children when they are young. Your child will learn to love books and love to read at a early age. Please take advantage of this program it is a great way to build your library at home for your child at a great price. I will let you know in the monthly calendar when book orders are due.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child. I am excited for this upcoming year. We have a lot of fun things planned.
Thanks,
Mrs. Brenda Arbon 🙂
